ANCHOR COTTAGE is perfect for a couple's romantic get-away, but can sleep up to four as it has an extra twin-bedded room and two bathrooms. Luxuriously appointed, this idyllic fisherman's cottage boasts breath-taking uninterrupted views across the North Sea. In this stunning retreat for all seasons, panoramic windows frame the changing tides, while glass Juliet balconies shelter you from the breeze without detracting from the views. Relax in Anchor Cottage with a glass of wine and enjoy captivating sunsets. This jewel of a cottage has been painstakingly renovated to offer a romantic and deceptively spacious sanctuary in which to unwind. The attention to detail is faultless, from the stripped beams, wood burning stoves and exposed stonework to the modern bathrooms, beautiful furnishings and dimmer lighting. At the front, there is a pretty cottage garden facing a medieval Pele tower, while at the rear there is a rock garden and a wooden bench strategically placed on the 'Bank Top' (the water’s edge) from which you can enjoy unrivalled sea views. The stunning seven-mile stretch of beach at Druridge Bay is just a stone's throw from the cottage.
PELE VIEW COTTAGE is right next door ! This cottage is ideal for a family holiday, sleeping up to four people (including children) in two bedrooms, and in this cottage we accept up to two well-behaved small or medium sized dogs too. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed while the second bedroom has two single beds. Pele View (as its name suggests) boasts a stunning view of the medieval Pele Tower directly opposite as well as a great sea view from the rear, and provides an extremely comfortable and stylish holiday home. The ground floor is huge and open-plan, with slate-tiled floor, exposed stone walls, wooden beams and modern furniture. There is a large wood-burning stove in the living area for that cosy evening fire, and the kitchen/dining area is stylish, traditional in feel and uncluttered with plenty of space for everyone around the large dining table. There is a small garden at the rear of the cottage and a private wooden bench on the ‘Bank Top’ (the water’s edge) from which to enjoy the sea view. The seven miles of sand at Druridge Bay are only a few steps away from the cottage.
Electricity and wi-fi are included at both cottages. There is electric central heating at Anchor Cottage, whilst heating is by wall-mounted electric panel heaters at Pele View Cottage. At Anchor Cottage there are 2 wood burning stoves whilst there is one at Pele View, and an initial supply of wood is provided at both cottages. There are 2 TVs in both cottages (one of which is a smart TV with DVD), all with Freeview. At Anchor Cottage there is a parking space for one car to the rear, with further parking on the road in front, whilst parking for Pele View Cottage is on the road in front of the cottage. At both cottages, duvets are provided, with linen and towels.
Please note the following details :
ANCHOR COTTAGE sleeps up to 4 (in one king-sized bed and two single beds). The cottage is not suitable for children, and pets are not allowed. Neither smoking nor vaping are allowed in the cottage.
PELE VIEW COTTAGE sleeps up to 4, including children (in one king-sized bed and two single beds). Guests may bring up to two well-behaved small or medium sized dogs (an extra charge applies - see the 'rates' section). Please note - dogs are not allowed on the furniture (even with protective throws) or upstairs, and must not be left unattended in the property. Guests bringing a dog should bring a dog-bed or a dog-crate for the dog to sleep in and his/her own bowls to eat and drink from. No pets other than dogs are allowed. Neither smoking nor vaping are allowed in the cottage.
